A little understanding

I have this friend, whom I only was just beginning to really get to know before she moved away. One Ms. Stanford sent me this. She probably didn't write this- but she may have, because she is the kind of person who would.

Those who can laugh at themselves, will always have laughter near.
Those who can enjoy their time alon, will not be far from happiness.
Those who see beauty in all people, will never, ever, be alone.

Love is the absence of Hate. Hate is the absence of Love. Hate is from fear,
Fear is from not understanding. Thus by understanding we dispel fear.
Dispelling fear dispels hate. Without Hate there is Love.
Therefore, from understanding, we can love.
There is no peace with Fear. With Fear there can be no peace.
