It just hurts too much

I didn't realize there were that many of them. I have so well surrounded myself with the progressive thinker, the academics, and the insightful. Then I go to any one of my undergraduate courses and I am just surrounded by a staggering number of people who just don't have a clue. Last night I spoke at length about the new fossil discoveries being made in ethiopia, language barriers when traveling, and concerts that changed your life. Positive energy, the political air in France, and about really good tequila. I also ranted as I had recently realized the inability to deny when this world goes to shit in fifty years because too many of the assholes thought the bus was too dirty to ride, or riding a bike was too hard, that giving up that SUV is too much of a sacrifice and energy efficient light bulbs at $1 more are too expensive, I will go on a nasty bloody rampage. Too many people daily give in blindly to apathy and deny their convictions-and i tell you what MF's, I am gonna be really pissed off when that day comes, for there are those of us who daily, weekly, or as often as possible try to make a difference and you people are screwing us. And that my friends, just hurts.
